Ok So I thought it would be a good idea to raise some money for charity & to do a triathlon. ( i am full of good ideas) I work in Virgin Active Canary Riverside as a Membership Consultant & we our the proud sponsors of the Triathlon. So I had chance to just enter and do some thing good, and raise money for Sparks Charity.

So me and the General Manger (Elliott) & the fitness manger (Emma) all got brave and entered. 2 days later we got email's saying we had been excepted, I was so excited, I have never been in any like this before. So i was over the moon, Something to train towards. Then few days later they asked me to write a mini blog. Then I kacked my self. I find writing a blog more scary then doing the triathlon.

So I got started striate away trying to build up a decent fitness level, which was really hard at 1st as I kept on getting really bad stich in my belly when ever I was running, I got lots of good advice off of the personal trainers (Vinnie & Jas) have been helping me loads. To be honest every 1 who knows any thing about triathlons have been helping me, which is 1 of the good things about working in a gym.

Ok So the training go's on, I was getting into the gym for about 7:30am 8am, train till about 9:30am, start work by 10am

I stared running really slow at 1st, then building my self up to get rid of the stich, and off the running on to the bike. We have bikes that are like simulator's, so that really helps me, because I normally get so bored quick and these bikes are the nuts, because you can race ageist the computer and each other. Time flys I love them.

Any way Iv been training for about 3 weeks now, and I could feel my fitness level increasing, Happy days, I started swimming a few times a week to ( which I have not been swimming in years) I just need to build up fitness there to. So I got 1 of the personal trainers to train me ( Matt ) Matt has done 66 triathlons so he really knows his stuff. I had 1 session with him and we was on track. I am feeling really good now, I am training most days, with having just 1 day off of training a week, I feel alive and building my fitness level up.

Then the worst thing ever happened ( well for my training any way) I fell over and cut my knee open, I have had to have 6 stich's right across my knee cap, So that has put a big fat full stop on my training. I can't even bend my leg at the moment, I am gutted. I cant even work because the pain killers they have give me space me right out, even writing this im a little spaced out. The Dr said when i can have my stich's out in ten days i can swim so I am hanging in there till then. I just have to eat really healthy so i don't feel to crap about not being able to walk properly at the moment. I have to keep positive and look forward to when I can train or I will just get so down and I don't want to do that.
